Microsoft Corporation ACADEMIC INSIDE PARTNER DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - External Staff Position in Ljubljana, Slovenia

This position is a contingent staff position and employed by an external agency in service for Microsoft.

The role entails the development of existing top Resellers, expanding the reseller network through competitive recruitment, development of new channels for new products, coordination of marketing programs through distribution and managing lead distribution pipeline and ultimately increasing sales. The AIPDM role will improve Partner relations, provide partners with a “go to” person for enquiries and support and increase frequency of Partner sales of Microsoft technology. The ideal candidate will embrace their region’s educational community and become an engaged contributor and supporter evangelising the use of Microsoft technology with Partners creating a virtual sales team of Partner based sales people.

Overall Responsibilities

Channel Management:

•Develop the local strategy to manage assigned education territory channel revenue plan and identify the relevant partners/resellers to attach to customer opportunities

•Development and growth of Education partner channel eco-system (including competitive recruitment for Microsoft software, services and devices including Partner Readiness (including OEM)

•Manage connection of channel partners to field account teams in territory across all partner segments, including Inside Sales account teams

•Manage pipeline leads created from breadth marketing efforts through the partner channel to final sale through Microsoft Education Reseller (AERs).

•Identify territory channel needs and own the plan to address and deliver incremental results.

•Provide inputs to Partner Engagement and Go To Market teams to recruit and enable new partners to accelerate the customer opportunity closure.

•Engage new and existing solution partners in territory based on top customer opportunities.

Business Orchestration:

•Drive One Microsoft orchestration across teams to grow business in territory through partners.

•Track and assess channel performance and adjust strategy to ensure territory success

•Secure, coordinate, manage resources and programs in supporting channel connection to enable customer success.

•Influence subsidiary/area leadership to align strategy & resources to help team achieve targets with partners as measured by consumption, usage and adoption.

•Orchestration of communications to the channel community via Yammer etc.

•Coordinate of marketing campaigns through breadth engagement - distributors

•Management and co-ordination of Windows device sales through breadth of Education Partners

•Development of Education Surface Reseller channel (where applicable)


•Weekly reporting to (insert Vendor name) management team and Microsoft Enterprise Channel Manager

Experiences Required: Key Experiences, Skills and Knowledge

•Proficiency with Technology – minimum Microsoft Office and Windows (although training will be provided

•Demonstrated (or reported) organizational skills

•Confidence and experience working on phone
